The 700-r4 shifter will work. Use the drive
shaft and crossmember from an '82 or'83
Camaro with a 200 Metric transmission. You
will need a B&M torque arm mount kit. Jeg's
or Summit should have it for about $80.00.
The downside to this swap is the loss of overdrive. Rpm's in 3rd with 3.73's at 65 mph is about 3000.

Another option if you have to build a th350 is get a 9in tailshaft version, its close enough to the 700 that your current DS will work. If you have any other ? just ask, I'e been there done that.

It's pretty easy. If you have the TH350 with the long tail shaft it'll be a piece of cake. Just take the shifter lever off the 700 and put it on for the 350 and the shifter cable bracket will bolt on to the tranny but one end will rest on top of one of the bolts. Still works though. Then you need the torque arm bracket from Summit. Piece of cake.
