Two questions about 700R4 & V-6's
1. Type F Ford fluid.
Yea or Nay for usage after Fram filter change
2. TVC adjustment for my 1985 V-6 Throttle Body.
I saw and saved the thread about carb & TVC adjustment for after I am done with the tranny rebuild for my S-10 Blazer (2WD). But, no mention of the V-6 MPFI TB usage I'm asking about.
THANKS!

Type F oil is a bad idea. Ford hasn't even used it since 1976. It does NOT handle heat well and breaks down into a heavy varnish. If your tranny doesn't shift the way you want it to then it is time to recalibrate it. Don't expect something that comes out of a can to 'fix' sloppy shifts.
To adjust the TV Cable skip the book method and do this: Press the D button on the adjuster and loosen the cable setting. Now, have someone floor the gas pedal while you check to see if the throttle plate is open all the way. Usually they are off a little and will wiggle. Do whatever you have to do to get it open solid. Now, with the pedal floored, press the D button and pull the cable back as hard as you can and release the button. You now have the engine, tranny and gas pedal all in sync at WOT. Mark the cable so if for some reason it gets moved you can know where to put it again. The problem with the 'self adjust method' is that it bends things and puts them permanently out of whack. It is also the full TV setting, which is theoretically what the GM method does.

Recalibrate time then it is!
I still need to change fluid.
What's the word.
It was slipping in 3-4 going back over a hill in the heat.
I definetly need to do something, soon.
