Alright i got a 1992 Camaro with a 305 TBI. I found a 1986 rear end from a V6 Camaro. I think this rear-end has 3.42 gears(I will be finding out for sure in a week or so). Alright if I pull this rear-end out and put it in my car will a shop have to install the SLP take off posi?

 

You'll be taking a step backwards. Your 92 is a better rear end with 28 spline axles and better brakes. Keep your rear end, buy the SLP take-off and instead of buying the 86 rear end for the gears, just buy a new set of gears to install in your 92.

are those stock 3.42 gears 2 series carrier or 3 series carrier

 

3 series. You can buy 3 series gear ratios (3.23 and up) that fit 2 series carriers. Try Richmond gear.

If you are getting the SLP takeoff, you need to get 3-series gears.
