need torque converter with electric controlled lock up for a 700R-4 automatic
I have an 87 GTA 5.7 with a 327 posi rear end and a 700-R4 automatic tranny. I am looking for a torque converter for it and am having no luck at all. Anyone know where I can get a good one and for how much?

You actually have lots of options, but the low end of the price spectrum is around $200 plus shipping or tax. If the local transmission shops aren't being helpful, then you cango to www.summitracing.com and the first option is part number SUM-G2704. This is a stock replacement, will drive as such, and priced at $186.95. However, if your cam is stock or pretty mild, I'd recommend BMM-70420, $229.95. I love this converter, 500 rpm higher stall, about what the L98 vette used, good driveability. It's called a B&M TorkMaster 2000. A 2500-stall converter with lockup will run you more like $426, but if you're running a huge cam...TCI-242800. Summit has free shipping, but theres a $10 handling charge. These aren't your only options.

i do not need anything real fancy, just something drivable. I am not looking to do any racing. Also, i do not know what kind of cam i have. What would you suggest i go with, again.
