Dana 44 price range
Dana 44 price range
I have a F-body Dana 44 that was in my street strip car and was removed to install a 9 inch Moser. Its just taking up space. It is already spoken for by a fellow Thirdgen.org member but the price is not set. What do you think is fair price for one that has less then 2K on the rebuild with new Dana 3.73 gears, all new bearings and seals, new posi, Aluminum cover, 1350 and 1310 pinion yokes, Global west relocation brackets Tig welded on and Pbr brakes with fresh rotors and pads. The gears were installed by try county gear but do have some gear noise from it.
So the question is what do you think is a fair price for it.

Re: Dana 44 price range
Considering it's not worn out, it should be worth around $1500. Many have been found for a lot less but they're not all in good condition.
It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. When you consider a 12 bolt or 9" isn't much more than that, it's hard to justify that price for a Dana 44 when you can spend a bit more for a 12 bolt or a 9".
Unless someone is desperate for it, you'll never get back what you put into it.
