Ratech

Hint- it's just a sleeve. I paid $20 for mine, plus $40 in shipping and duty and was ANGRY. Just remove your existing crush sleeve, measure it's ID, OD, and length, and buy some tubing and cut to length. Cut it long, grind it to size, and try it out. Leave it .003" long or so. Check the bearing preload, if not enough, grind it shorter, etc etc. Beats waiting a week to ship a $20 part that is worth $3.

Re: soild crush sleeve?

This is where I purchased mine, for less than $20 a couple of years ago. http://www.ringpinion.com/

Give them a call, they'll help and get you set up.

It needs to be cut in a lathe. The ends must be parrallel or the bearings can be cocked slightly and cause uneven wear. It must seat evenly on the bearings. It is best to get one that is short and shim it to the correct thickness.

Re: soild crush sleeve?

Surely my local general-machine shop will do it quicker and for less than the $60 sonix told us about. Thanks big gear head.

Re: soild crush sleeve?

Why do you want a solid spacer for the 7.5 rear end? The crush spacer is plenty good. The 7.5 will break many more parts before the spacer gives any problems.
