Need to know about shifter **** for 92 camaro
Hi,
I have a 1992 Camaro RS and I just bought a new shifter **** that has a button on the side instead of the top. The problem is, that I cannot get the stock one off. Does anyone know how to get this off? if so, please write back

Pull the button cover straight up and out.
The actual button is underneath. Push that in and the center section should stick out. Rotate it until you can pull it out, then pull out the button itself and it's spring. Then pull the staple out of the front of the shifter (you will have to use a screwdriver or awl). After that, the **** should slide straight up and off the shaft.
