how do i know which tranny i have?

how do i know which tranny i have?

how can i figure out which transmission i have exactly, it's a 5-speed borg-warner and that's about all i know.

I thought the borg-warner refers to the rear end you, I am guessing that you have a T-5.

Borg-Warner refers to the company that built the trans or rearend. The same as Saginaw, it could be a Saginaw trans or a steering box or a power steering pump or a ... They're all divisions of GM

If you have a manual trans it's a T-5. If it's a 88 or newer then it's a "world class". Not much difference between the two.
