im guessing i have to suck out the old fluid with a pump right? also, is mobil 1 synthetic fluid with some GM additive ok?

 

You could do that; or, you could just take the cover off. That's how most people do it.

Mobil 1 with a bottle of whale *** is fine.

take the cover off ,it'll give you a chance to inspect for broke or worn parts, get the metal chips out. i use mobil 1 and gm posi additive in mine and all the ones i do.
