TH-350 Does it have overdrive??

This car I am looking at has a ZZ4 backed by a TH-350 w/2800 stall and a 3.73 rear. I was wondering if this trans has an overdrive? Does anybody know what the gear ratio's are for this trans? Givin that combo above, will this be ok for a car driven on the street?

Thanks

There's no overdrive in the TH350...

People have been driving cars like that for years... I've had a few (late 70s Z28s for example) that came exactly like that from the factory, 350/350/3.73, except of course not with the stall converter....

ok well thats good to hear.

So is a 2800 stall to much for the street? And the guy says it is a true 2800 stall, what does he mean by that?

Thanks

It means theroretically if you had a transbrake, you could lock the tranny and go to WOT and the engine wouldn't climb higher than 2800 rpm.

Stall speed that's advertised on a converter is only an estimated number. True stall speed varies from car to car depending on how much torque the engine puts out. That converter may stall at 2800 on an engine that puts out 400 pounds of torque but only stall at 2200 on an engine with 300 pounds of torque.

1st- 2.52
2nd- 1.52
3rd- 1.00
Rev- something like 2.96 (like it really matters)
