I just can't seem to figure it out,so I thought I'd ask for some help.When ever I get on it and the car is shifting from 1st to 2nd, I hear a loud bang from somewhere around the pass. rear tire.At first I thought that the shock had broke loose,but after checking,everything seemed to look ok.The shocks are a year old and so are the u joints,so could it be a bearing?I had the rear end checked last year and things looked good then.Any ideas????

Check your tranny mount...just crawl under the car and push up on the tailshaft of the tranny. If you can move it, your mount is fried. I fried three mounts in the span of a month last summer. Bottom line....buy a good mount or you will probably do the same.

 

grab EVERYTHING in the rear end area. I had a similar problem, and it turned out it was the panhard rod mount on a loaner rearend. The hole for where the pnhard bolts to the rear was wobbly on the drivers side. So check this or all other components. Shove the car (side to side) in your drive way. good luck, THE SHAGGY IROC

Thanks for the info.I'll get back under there again and see what I find.Did alot of pushing the car side to side last winter,d**n snow.I guess Icould have broke something then.
