Lots of metal sludge on tranny pan magnet - This normal?

Hey people,

I drained my 700R4 today and the magnet was covered in metal colored sludge (tiny particles of metal suspended in tranny fluid I'm guessing). Anyways, is this normal wear and tear, or is something wrong (there was about a 1/3 inch lair of it). There wer no large metal pieces in the fluid.

Thanks for the help,

-Max

Normal wear and tear. Change tranny oil every 2 years helps. Don't expect the tranny clutches to last forever.

Just pulled the tranny from my parts car so I have no idea how the car was treated before that. Thanks for the help.
