Need help, grinding noise from under console

After installing an 3000 stall Art Carr TC, my car ran very well and quit. However, after taking it easy on the TC for several days, I proceeded to see how the car would launch at the dragstrip. I power braked the engine up to 2100 rpm and took off. I got plenty of rubber, but the rear end went into wheel hop.

Ever since that wheel hop incident, there is a grinding noise coming from under the front part of the console. At times it sounds like a slinky (if you know what a slinky is).

I have been under the car several times, and can not located the source of the noise. I am so fustrated with my car, I just want to shoot it!!!!!

Does anybody have an idea what it could be?

I'm ready to re-install the stock TC to see if there is a problem inside the Art Carr TC.

Sounds like your parking brake cable came loose from its brackets and is laying up against the driveshaft...

Well, you might be right.

I only hear this noise when the body is moving on the suspension. On a very smooth road, I do not hear any noise. Also, the e-brake is a little looser because I need to pull on it more to lock the rear discs.

Alright!!!!!!!! This may be it. Thanks.
