Slipping in 3rd and 4th

I just put a 2-4 band in the tranny about 2 months ago because the old one was broke but every since, before fixing that I had problems with no 2nd and a long gradual shift into 4th, now 2nd is great but there was slipping in fourth but it was driveable then I noticed some slight slipping in third. Today I was reading in my tranny manual that one of the problem could be the governor gear, does this sound like it might be the prob or should I look deeper. Oh let me add that after reading the manual and then on my way home 3rd started slipping so bad that I might have to not drive it until it is fixed, talk about timing!!

I think the answer is easy, unfortunatly, its the worst case scenario. Sounds like you'll be pulling it back out for some 3-4 clutches.

I was getting ready to add some info but I saw your reply and you have spoken the words that I did not want to hear. After I posted I went for a drive and I did not even have 3 or 4 anymore they are out to lunch so I drove down to the parentals house where I have a spare tranny and I changed the governor gear, the one from the spare was in better shape, but as you know that didn't help. I lost these gears in a matter of about a minute, or at least I lost total use of them that quick, does this still go with your thought of the the clutches being gone? Thanks for the timely reply!
