would a 82 4 spd out of a firebird v6 fit on my.......
83 z28 camaro?i have a 305 and a auto tranny but i would like to take the auto out and put a 4 spd out of a v6 82 firebird, would this fit?

That 4speed manual of the V6 probably wouldn't last too long behind the V8... I'd assume you'd need a v8 bellhousing & clutch to make it work.

No, V6 and V8 transmissions are not interchangeable.

As far as the 5 speeds go, you can use a V6 trans on a V8 engine or the other way around. However, you have to swap the bellhousing, get a "custom" clutch, and a few other little things. I can't speak for the 4speeds though.
