Transmission: 4L80E NTC 258mm Stall
Axle/Gears: Trick Chassis 9" 3.50 S-Strac
T-56 stuck in 1st!!!
ok on saturday night I was driving around and was persuaded to do a burnout. I did it and I couldnt get out of 1st. It will move down alittle enough to get in neutral but not enough to move over or go in 2nd I tryed my hardest to pull it out with the car on car off clutch in. clutch out. but nothing what could be the problem???
please help. I have to sell this tranny so I need this fixed.(Im going back to auto)

Mine did something similar to this, see if you can get it into 3rd, 5th, and reverse... just sit in your driveway and move the shifter back and forth a bunch of times and that should do it. If not, unbolt the shifter from the trans (is it aftermarket? That was the problem i had with mine) and reinstall the shifter (if that does not fix it) and then it should be ready to go

I have a 6 speed in my 94 camaro and it has never done this. I don't really have any suggestions but if you get it fixed I might be interested in buying it if you are willing to ship.
