tranny cooler install ?'s
What are the unwritten things to look out for? When you cut the cooling line, how do you keep metal shavings from getting in the fluid? Do you have to drain the tranny before you install the cooler? Anybody who's done this install, can you give me any tips and generally anything to watch out for.

use a tubing cutter and the metal chips won't be a problem, mount and run the lines so the fluid is forced to run uphill thru the cooler.

My B&M Supercooler came with fittings; I didn't have to cut any of the metal cooler lines. If you think you get metal filings in the line, you could always unhook it at the trans end, and pour clean trans fluid into the line so it washes any metal filings out.
