can anyone tell me if my tranny is going out. here are the symptoms.

1) whenever i floor it in second or third the engine revs up but doesnt do anything for about half a second then BOOM it takes off. is that just the tranny downshifting? it seems like a pretty long time.

2) im getting very small flare ups at the end of 1st and 2nd. hardy noticable but definatly there.

3) it shifts close to 6500 rpm at WOT. i have to let off the gas to make it shift. and its usually a pretty soft shift too.

well thats about it. oh its got 120,000K on it and the fluid was flushed about 1 month ago. thanks in advance ... after this tranny dies i might be looking into a 6speed swap

 

Sounds like the Forwards are on the way out.
