I have a 83 camaro that I blew the transmission in. I replaced the tranny and all of the clutch components. I installed the new clutch and when I bolted up the bellhousing the clutch fork is a inch off center. It seems to be short? All of the parts are factory replacements and are the same as the old ones. Is there something I am doing wrong? If anybody knows please let me know......thanks.

 

I am know very little about 83 5-speeds, and I have one! But I do know that the 83 was the first with a 5 speed. And in 84 all 5 speeds were hydraulic. So, basically 83 was the only year to have a mechanical clutch setup. Where am I going with this? I dont know. Just make sure all the parts were from an 83, cause I'm assuming other years will differ..
