anyone know how to test the 4th gear switch?My converter is locking all the time untill i press the brake.I had to install a switch so it wont come on.Its acting like the switch is bad and stuck on.I replaced the tcc solenoid but it didnt help any still comes on as soon as it hits 3rd for shure probly second cause when i turn the switch off it will bark the tires but with it on it dosent.If you know how to test plese let me know thanks

 

I'd think you'd be able to test the resistance or use a test light between the terminal and the outer case of the switch. My guess is that it should only be connected when it gets pressure, but it could be just the opposite of that for all I know.

 

well iv been searching and reading up and from what i read im guessing i need to get a diff type i changed the tranny and either its bad or the wrong type.The one thats on it now is a 2 prong but im not shure if its no(normally open) or nc(normally closed).Seeing as how the tcc is locking all the time i guess its stuck on.I wonder if i can get a 2 prong no switch that will close when it gets pressure in 4th and only lock the coverter in 4th which is what i want to start with.Well i want it to work like the factory made it if possable...
