Clutch fork questions
Can I remove and replace my clutch fork without removing the tranny?
Need to make sure the clip is on the throwout bearing correctly

Re: Clutch fork questions
No. The fork installs from inside the bellhousing. You have to pull the tranas and bellhousing.

Re: Clutch fork questions
Thanks TKO,
I believe my fork / clip is installed worng and need to correct. I was just looking for a quick way to fix. I think I should be able to correct by just sliding the tranny back and leaving the bellhousing on. Sound right?

Re: Clutch fork questions
Yeah, you should be able to. You'll have access inside through the trans bore.

Re: Clutch fork questions
Clutch is DONE!!!! Perfect feel....just as I thought, the a$$hole before had the fork incorrectly installed on the throwout bearing. 4 hours including the time to get her up in the air....I'm feeling pretty good.

Re: Clutch fork questions
Did he have the throwout bearing on backwards or it wasn't fully on the fork?

Re: Clutch fork questions
Had the retaining clips on the outside of the bearing...supposed to be in the inside bearing race.

Re: Clutch fork questions
Yes you can. But it will tweak and ruin the clip most times. And it's a major PITA to get it back on.
So no.
So no.
