Re: regearing

the easiest way is to just post your rear tire size and I'll post what you need.

Re: regearing

You have 2 choices: (1) a gray 15 tooth drive gear, GM part number 8642620, and a blue 38 tooth driven gear, part number 25513045, or (2) a red 17 tooth drive gear, 8640517, with a purple 43 tooth driven gear, 25513050. You won't need to buy anything else to get the speedometer correct.

Re: regearing

I'm working with a moderator on getting all this info I have, made into a sticky, on 700R-4 speedometer gears. But until then, What I need to know is rear tire size and rear axle ratio. In Tony's case, 3.72:1 gears don't exist, so he must have mis-typed.

I believe he meant 3.27 as he typed in first thread.

They aren't that expensive. Few bucks, maybe 15-20 if I recall when I got mine. I ordered mine through NAPA so they are easy to get as well. Maybe check NAPAs website for prices.
