What posi unit do you recommend!

My son and I are building a 1988 Camaro! I built a strong 355 and have a TH400 behind it with a 3400 stall convertor! We are changing to 28 spline axles and will be running 4:10 gears turning M/T DOT Drag radials that are
aprox 28" tall! I have a spool for it, but, he wants to drive it on the street as well! I don't want the spool on the street! Hard on tires and drive line!!!

What have you all been running with good results?

Thank you for looking!

Eaton Posi for street/strip and Truetrac or Zexel for street/road race or auto cross. Need prices?

Is the truetrac better for purely street driving? ive got the govloc now and im tired of it locking sometimes and not locking other times. I know the truetrac is always engaged, would i even tell a difference on pure street driving from a truetrac and a eaton posi is what im trying to say.

The Truetrac doesn't always lock up when doing a burnout, but the Eaton will. The Eaton is very smooth if the right oil is used with it. Most people don't have any problems with the Eaton on the street. The Eaton was the OEM limited slip differetnial in all of the Chevy muscle cars from the '60s and early '70s.

For a year-round daily driver that seldom sees the dragstrip, nothing can begin to think about trying to imagine approaching the Auburn, which is why GM installed so many. But if you're going to the dragstrip every week, these guys are correct.
