700r4 questions
Right now I have a 200c. I know the th350 is a direct replacement for the 200c, but i would really like a 700r4. So these are my questions, hopefully you guys can answer:
What do i need to do to the tranny to make it non computerized. I will have a carbed 350 in it, and will no longer have any of my computer crap.
What will i need to do/get to install the 700r4 where the 200c was?
What is a good price for a 700r4 core?

I seen www.tacreationsusa.com has cores for 50 bucks.
What is a core, just the housing or the complete tranny but need rebuilt?????

I've done this swap.
Custom crossmember or drill the subframe(I modified my crossmember)The mounting point is a few inches back on the 700r4.
Cut a couple of inches off the torque arm(couple minutes with a hacksaw)
Shorter driveshaft(30 bucks from junkyard)
The tranny isn't computerized, the computer just locks and unlocks the torque converter(TCI non computer lock-up kit from summit will take car of that)
A 700r4 TV cable and possibly a bracket for your carb(mine worked just fine)
I'm sure I forgot something. Do some searches, this has been posted before.

350 with stealth intake, holley carb, 470 lift cam. 700r4 with .5 boost valve, vette servo, tci lock-up kit, B&M megashifter. Richmond 3.73 gears, powertrax locker, timkin bearings, synthetic lube. Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, currant red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...
