Since the ring gear is the same in the S10's and f-bodies, would it be possible to find a posi in and S10 to swap? Or even a blazer? I need a cheap posi for my 3.73 rear (26 spline). Just need some idea on where to look.

Also whats the RPO code for Posi???

I think the posi 3.73 rear is a "GT4" axle code. Check out the gloveboxes; I found quite a few Blazers that had the RPO sheet in the glovebox, and each option was described! They actually said:

GT4 ... 3.73 positraction axle

on the RPO sheet. I stopped looking at Blazers when the wrecking yard guy told me he wanted $150 for the gears & posi.
