Speedometer Calibaration: Ford 9" and Pro-Built 700R4
I will be swapping in a Ford 9" with 3.50 gears and a Pro-Built 700R4 trans to handle the 383 I will be swapping in. This is for a 92 Camaro. I will also swap in a 145mph speedo as soon as I get my hands on one. Anyways...will I still beable to keep my speedo accurate? If so, will it be best to do it using the speedo gears...or get one of those calibaration boxes that plugs into your ECM? If I have to go with the box...how hard are they to install? By the way..this will be with a Super Ram setup, and a custom chip.

I think the closest you will be able to get with the 3:50 rear is using the 3:42 speedo gears. It will be off by a little bit though. If you want it as close to dead nuts as possible you will have to go with an electronic unit like you stated.
