i have access to a 91 firebird rearend. i was wondering if it would just bolt up without any fabrication? or if the chunk itself would fit? and if so, does anyone know if the axles of the caprice would work? or is there anyway to find something i could swap for cheap to get posi? im on a tiny budget, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

 

You want to put a Firebird rear end in a Caprice? No it won't bolt in. It is completely different. Does the Caprice have the 7.5 or 8.5 rear end? If it has the 7.5 then some of the parts will interchange. If it has the 8.5 rear end then nothing will interchange. What year is the Caprice? If it's older than '90 then nothing will interchange except the ring & pinion gears, if it has the 7.5 rear end. The axles won't work anyway.
