700R4 issues / Replacement
For whatever reason when my 700R4 goes into second gear the whole car shakes violently and the transmission groans. Doesn't do it with the shifter in 3rd, only 4th. WTF does this sound like? I thought it was wheelhop for the longest time due to the violent shake but now I'm certain it's the transmission.
Does it make sense to replace it with a T5 with the intention of going to a T56 in the future? I can get a T5 swap so cheap these days, T56 on the other hand are very hard to find. Should I bite the bullet and go right to a T56 if I want a manual?
I might just want a fresh 700R4 though, not sure yet.

sounds to me like you have some type of issue going on with the 2,4 band it could be burnt causing a chatter when it is applied
