Installed a CenterForce Clutch, and now the clutch pedal has a soft feel,

i installed a new CenterForce dual friction clutch in my 88 firebird, the clutch pedal before hand was stiff, but had a good feel to it, now with the new clutch, the pedal has a lot lighter pedal feel, and also has slight play in the pedal when you fully let it out, i believe i may have damaged my slave cylinder, cause i compressed it while off the clutch fork to move it out of my way so i didnt break it when taking off the bellhousing , does anyone have a suggestion on what should i do, should i replace the Clutch master cylinder, and slave cylinder or is this just normal

The CF DF clutch has what seems like a lighter spring than some, because it uses that centrifugal mechanism to add to its pressure at high RPMs whereas most diaphragm clutches lose tension at high RPM. So it could easily be lighter feeling than whatever you had in there before. If it hooks up hard with say a 4th gear speed shift (my DFs always have, even with a 400 in front of them) then don't worry about it, enjoy getting your exercise some other way.
