How to tell it's a V8 Tranny??

How to tell it's a V8 Tranny??
So I'm going to look at a used tranny this on Saturday 10-27. It's said to be an 88 V8 T5?? Any way I can tell it's from a V8 and not a V6? Thanks for any info.
