yeah i just did that when i installed my shift kit from pro built. You just have to remove them from the shaft one by one to get them out.

if you can unbolt the crossmember and lower the tail end of the trans a little, watch you dont break the dizzy cap, it will give you a little more room to work.
Or, IIRC when i swapped mine a few years ago, i left the crossmember alone, removed the trans mount and let the trans drop that extra couple inches, pushed it over to the driverside of the tunnel and had enough room to work.

Re: 700r4 servo replacement
i have to be carefull about lowering the trans, i put the motor trans and rear all in my self, and i took it to the exhaust shop .the exhaust is ONE piece from the headers back ,all welded! i had the down pipes welded to the headers........ i cant stand exhaust leaks.so if i can sneak it out without touching the crossmember thats great.if not, i have to lower the whole exhaust.

Re: 700r4 servo replacement
I have this EXACT same question haha! I tried removing the single stud/nut from the trans mount and tried to push the trans over....its not budging so I'm going to try and wedge it.
Otherwise I'll try the removing bracket and lowering the trans technique. Will that work even with the torque converter all bolted up the motor?
