When do you not need to adjust the TV cable?

When do you not need to adjust the TV cable?

Like if all you did was take the carb off and put right back on?

Does the cable have to be adjusted every time it come on and of the carb if the cable length/setting never changes?

to be safe if you touch the cable, bracket or anything it touches or pivots with i readjust it, its not a big deal.hold the button, push the pointed plastic part the steel cable comes out back while holding the button and then release, slowly open the throttle all the way and it will pull the cable to the correct setting takes less than a minute and you know its all set.all the cars i have worked on at shops i have yet to come across one that was set right unless its my car.

I thought you had to have a gauge hooked up and bla bla bla to set a TV cable right?

Always do it as a matter of habit. Anytime you do any kind of modification that concerns touching the TV cable, readjust it, or check it to "see" if it has changed. Miss doing it "one" time and the transmission "could" be history.

So many other places make it seem so hard. No really.
[why I had a TH build over an OD trans for my V8 car, all over the net its like a scare tactic Id say about how the TV adjustment will get ya if your not a rocket scienctist.]

like them ez-TV kits you can buy.

if you have a factory cable and brackets and linkages set it like i said and your all set,if you have a aftermarket carb or retro fitted somthing thats where it can get tricky.a good general way to check the tv cable is ,at wot it should be tight( like a gituar string)

But when he says WOT, it means by the pedal as sometimes you wont go completely 100% WOT by the pedal

Ahhh yea kinda a bummer, could of had an OD though I probably would of went switch pitch over TH if I did it again for the wild launch or normal launch at will.
