4th gen posi?

I am going to the junk yard saturday. There is a 4th gen 93-97 camaro with a disk brake rear end. How do I know it this is posi? Are there codes to check for in the VIN. The axle shafts are out of it so I can't do the spin test. Thanks for your help.

Check the vin # the 8th digit should be
P for a Z28.P is the letter used ofr the LT1
If the front fender says Camaro the it's a V6,if it says Z28 then it's a V8.

No, You could check the housing for a tag that says use XXXX limited slip gear oil or spin the rear wheels they should both move in the same direction, one wheel will delay a little bit because its limited slip.
