Z28 Automatic Transmissions?
Is the automatic transmission used with the base Z28 engine (LG4) the same transmission used with the TPI (LB9) engine?
Thinking of upgrading engines but would like to retain the transmission.

Your trans will work with any 1st gen. ('65-'99) small block chevy motor, but more specifically you can do what you're looking to do.

They may have made small improvements throughout the years but essentially the same thing.
