I just had my 88 5.7 rebuilt. It is now a 388 with a 218/480 cam with 10:1 KB pistons in it plus ALOT of others. It just seems to run real un-smooth from 1000-2500 rpm . I have not changed the chip in it and a friend said that the car is still tring to run like a 350 .Is the chip a real important part of the rebuild as well ? I do know my power band has went up in the rpm's But I thought I would have more SEAT SUCKING feeling.
What can I do to help? By the way I still have the original 272 gears as well.
