I have this annoying squealing noise coming from the transmission area. It's somewhat mild, but by no means normal and i'm about to lose my sanity trying to figure it out.

I have a 700r4. It doesn't do it until the motor has warmed up and you drive it a little. This all started after I put a built 350 in it with a 3600 vigilante converter. I'm hoping and praying it's not the converter because I payed good money for it. The car runs perfect and stalls out great. The transmission shifts out fine and doesn't slip at all.

It does it at about 1000 rpm. It kinda goes away while you're sitting in drive, but it's more noticeable in park and neutral. I eliminated the water pump and alternator. Is there anything internally in the motor that could cause this noise?

 

I still think its the front pump I'll sell you my 700r4 on the cheap. Oh and I have to move my trans am to some where so I'm thinking about pulling the motor do the body work and letting it sit at my dad's shop till I paint it guess we'll see my paint skills haha.
