alignment issue, seriously stumped!

my 88 iroc has a problem in the rear axle mounting somewhere. the left rear wheel is 1.3'' closer to the front of the vehicle than the right rear wheel according to a hunter alignment machine. the car wanders a bit. i have replace both trailing arms. nothing underneath looks bent and is connected properly. there are no signs of the vehicle being wrecked either. the problem is still there even after i did a rear end swap from a 83 TA

You ruled out two possibilities, the LCA and rear mounts

Next would be the chassis mount. I would get a second opinion before you go welding new chassis mounts on thou

Plan B would be an adjustable set of LCAs

Have you checked the axle tubes to see if one of them has twisted in the center casting? The tubes are pressed in the casting and then plug welded. It isn't uncommon for the plug welds to break and the tubes to rotate in the casting.

yeah i never thought of axle tubes slipping. that is very possible cause all of my parts and even my body has a lot of hard miles on them. does anyone know where i can get an adjustable set of LCA's cause if i can get them ill just make sure my axle tubes are solid, align it, then see if it stays. if not then it must be a twisted body
