410's are too steep for either. Your fuel mileage will be nothing, and you will top out on RPM's at like 80mph.

A good street gear eor an auto is 3.42 - gives a jump off the line, but keeps top end and mileage reasonable. I have 342's with an auto and a carbed 350, and I get about 17mpg. 373's are popular, but drop the mileage down to about 10mpg on a 350 auto.

What is in there now?

And, BTW - your title says tranny help, but this is a rear end question - you do know we're talking rear end gears, right? Just checking.

The car is stock other than the mods i said before so i guess it has the stock gear. My goal for the car as of now is to get it running in the low 12 high 11 range.
