can someone identify this shifter for me?

i have a 87 camaro i parted out. it has a world class t 5 in it. the shifter that was on it was a blue b&m shifter. i looked on ebay and the one i found that looks like it is for a 93-02. did they make a blue ripper shifter like this one for the 82-92 or is it possible that the 93-02 fits on it? i am going to sell my shifter but i want to make sure i know what model it is first. thanks for the help, check out the pics and let me know what you think...

Yes, this fits all the T-5's for the 83-00 Camaro's (v6/v8 for 83-92 and v6 only for 93-00 as the v8's got T56's). The part number is 45051. It appears from B&M's site that they have discontinued it as it is no longer listed. Here's a link to it at JEGs:

Just an FYI: An 87 should be equipped with a non-WC unless the WC T-5 was swapped in at some point.

91RS, thanks for that info.

James, yes someone put a world class T5 in it.

I have another question for you guys. This shifter had a black plastic piece that was around the shaft of it when it was removed. it just doesnt look like it is supposed to be there, and is kinda damaged... did this piece originally come with the shifter or did someone put it on the shaft for some reason unknown? i am going to sell this shifter and i want to include all the pieces or take this piece out if it has no function... hopefully you guys know... check out the pics

I can't say for sure. Like you, I bought a transmission that had one on it. The one I got did not have that piece and I don't see it in any of the pics online.
