just got my camaro driving today and my kickdown did not engage??

heres a little background my 85 camaro had a 2.8 v6 and 4 speed auto i got a 350 and 700r4 out of a 89 chevy van it has a edelbrock dual plane intake and quadrajet 4 barrel carb and i used the kickdown from the tbi intake that was in the van is there a difference in the cables or do i have to do something special?? different bracket maybe idk?? HELP!! please!!

 

Yes, '85 2.8, TBI SBC and 4bbl SBC all take different TV cables.

 

well what cars came with a 700r4 and was carbed?

 

Any Q-jet / 200-4R or Q-jet 700-R4 application works.
So, 85-88 Monte V8 w/ OD
83(?)-87 V8 LG4/L69 4bbl F-body w/auto
trucks
vans
B/D-bodies
They're under $20 at autozone for a new one.

After you get the new cable in, you may want to adjust it a tooth or two at a time until it's just right. Nothing like 20 trips around the block one after another.
