who knows about 700r4 trans?
i have a 700r4 in an 89 camaro with a 305, a few weeks ago the trans decided it didnt want to shift anymore unless it was at about 6 grand, i did a fluid/ filter change, checked the tv cable, looked at the gov and it was fine. it still did it, is it shot or is there something i am overlooking

Did you adjust the TV cable? You mentioned "checking it", but didn't mention adjusting it. There is no checking it, just adjusting it.

check line pressure, gov pressure and so on. if line pressure is max it will want to shift way late and really bang into gear.
