700r4 differences?
Couple questions about the 700.
1.Is there a difference in strength and torque rating between a 700 behind a 305 and and a 350?
2.What 700 trans are the "better" ones?*88 and up,89 and up?

2 ~ 85 and up have the 30 spline input, prior is 27 spline

There were a number of hydraulic changes made then which contribute to the performance and longetivity of the transmission.

Yes. Any of the later improved hard parts can be put into an earlier case, but only the later cases have the hydraulic differences.
