IROC almost dies on gentle acceleration from a dead stop
This has happened for the past year or so, but it has been getting worse over the past couple months. I come to a stop, or start the car and try to leave, and when I go to push the gas the car starts to rev up, revs down and almost stalls around 250rpm for a split second, then throttles back up and is fine.
Not only that, but a couple times pulling up my driveway both in reverse and in drive (my driveway has a very slight incline) the car has stalled completely. Just the other day, I go to reverse out of a space on a level surface, and the car stalls.
The car is a 1990 Iroc-Z 5.7 with an auto transmission. Other than this, the car drives perfectly fine, and it inst a consistent problem. I have tried replacing the fuel filter, which hasn't helped.
I don't know what would cause this. Please Help!
