I bought a t-5 from a guy he claimed it was from a 305 v8 camaro, big motor, etc. all the works, and rebuilt. I never counted the input shaft splines because I was not aware of this before I bought the transmission. the one I need is a 26 spline. Is there a way to make this transmission work with a clutch made for a v8 since the 14 spline was made for a v6 car. I'm waiting to hear back from this guy, so I'm thinking that I got screwed.

 

You could get a custom clutch made, but then you'd still have the V6 gearing. In the world of the T5, the higher (numerically) the gearing, the weaker the transmission. Generally the V8 transmissions have numerically lower gears, and can support more power.
