Re: size of differential
The housings are the same. For all practical purposes there is no difference between the 7.5 and 7.625, except for the gears themselves.
Re: size of differential
ok well i have a 7.5 posi carrier i want to put in my rearend that had a 7.65 one legger.. on that 7.5 what can i run for gears?? like is there certain ones i cant fit in there? im just wanting to buy some jegs brand ring and pinion gears to get me buy
Re: size of differential
7.5 and 7.6 gears are the same except for 1/8 inch outside diameter. They will interchange with no problems. Just be sure that you get the right gears for the seried of differential that you have. If you have a 2 series tehn get the thick gears. If you have a 3 series then teh standard gears will work. There are also 26 and 28 spline axles, so be sure that your axles fit the differential.
Re: size of differential
now heres the problem ha.. where in the heck can i find stock axles that are 28 spline... no one has any.. and i dont know how much i should pay for stock.. im to broke to buy brand new
