I have a 84 camaro berlinetta i'm putting a wc t-5 out of a 89 camaro. The only thing i'm missing is the clutch pedal master cylinder. I found this set up on ebay. I was wondering if it would work with a stock slave cylinder. And if it should work with my car.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say no. The stock master cylinder sits at a steep angle. If all you need is a master cylinder you can get them at Auto Zone for less than $50.

 

I'am in need of the clutch pedal and master cylinder. Will a t56 clutch pedal assembly work.

 

Not sure on that. Since I'm not doing the typical T56 swap I'm getting 3rd gen pedals to go with the 3rd gen clutch setup. Tomorrow I'm going to all the junk yards around here to see if I can find some. As a last ditch plan, Hawks sells the pedal assembly new for $150. I really dont feel like paying that much though.

 

You CAN use the T56 pedals/clutch M/C, but it requires some modification. You have to cut off the 4th gen gas pedal since it's part of the clutch/brake pedal assembly, whereas it's separate on the 3rd gens. Not hard to do, but it's easier to just get a set of 3rd gen pedals w/hydraulics. I sure as hell wouldn't pay $150 either. If you scrounge around on ebay, or go to a local junkyard and find a manual trans equipped V6 3rd gen, you can usually get what you need for less than $100. Just type in "camaro 5 speed" in the search bar on ebay, and there's usually multiple sets of 3rd gen pedals on there for cheap. Btw, do yourself a favor and read the tech article here on the site about swapping a 5 speed into an auto car. It explains everything really well, and I think it even has some good pics of the pedal/master cylinder installation, including good instructions on how to cut the holes in your firewall correctly. I also remember a post here from member Benny K about a T5 install that has excellent pics for cutting the shifter hole and the holes for the clutch linkage.
