need a clutch for 800hp
I am building a 540bbc and am planning for 800hp. i have a TKO 600 and would like to know what kind of clutch i will need for this power level. I don't need a dedicated racing clutch, because i will be street driving a lot with pretty small tires. i am trying to get in the 10's, so i need something to hold up to that.
advise would be great!

i hear you can use a 168 tooth flywheel and a 11" clutch if you use a lakewood scattersheild, but im not 100% on that info.
IF you are at that power level, the blowproof bell is a must. And if you can verify they clutch and flywheel sizing with lakewood, then go with the 11 if they dont make a 10.5

i will be getting all sfi spec stuff. so i will call lakewood and see if the TKO bellhousing will work with an 11" clutch.
also, what size and material would you recommend for a driveshaft? Aluminum? chomoly?

I can tell you that the Lakewood will work with an 11" clutch. Its what I'm running on my T56 swap.

generally with the tko swapo in a 3rd gen, you use an adapter plate on the stock style bellhousing. That helps with shifter location too

Yea. I'm going to be using a stock flywheel for a 86-95(?) chevy truck. Its a 168 tooth flywheel for a 1 piece rear main so it has the same balance as the 153 tooth. This flywheel accepts up to a 12" clutch according to centerforces website.
