700-r4 rebuild suggestions
So im planing on getting my tranny rebuilt this summer
I want it to be able to handle at least 350-400 hp with spray
current plan is to put a mild 350 in next summer(2011)
What would be a good rebuild kit to go with?
So far the parts i want other than a rebuild kit is Trans-Go shift kit, corvette servo, 2500+ stall
Im trying to keep parts under $1000
street/strip car
Thanks

... I shouldn't say that... problem could be something simple like a screwed up Governor or plugged valve...

Talk to Dana over at Probuilt Automatics (www.700r4l60e.com). He knows his transmissions and is really friendly and helpful. Highly reccomended.

I'm thinking the 1st kit, since you have the early model 700r4, but I would call Dana and talk to him. He will ask you lots of questions, but that's so he can tell you what you should get. He can custom taylor a kit for your particular needs. I was on the phone with him for at least 45 min, if not an hour, discussing my wants and needs with him. And he had no issues doing so.

How can you be happy with it if you still haven't driven it? I guess you could be happy with what it includes, or the price.

like I said, Im very happy with the KIT. The quality of the parts, the detail of the instructions that Dana modifies, the part brands, etc. Price is reasonable for everything.
