trans question

i have a chance to get a 700-r4 trans out of an 89 rs and i was wondering what i need to do or change to get it to work in my 92 rs as far as the electronis speedometer

and help or suggestions are appreciated

Remove the mechanical speedo gear/sleeve from the 89 and plug your VSS in. You, I assume, will have the correct driven gear. You may need to replace the drive gear with the one in your 92 (depending on gear ratios).
