Will grade 8 bolts be fine with tranny to bellhousing and pressure plate bolts?

Bellhousing bolts only need to be grade 5. Torque converter bolts should be grade 8. Pressure plate bolts "should" be grade 8 with grade 8 lock washers.

Can't go wrong with using Grade "8" fasteners. Just will cost you more.

Any good bolt really will work for the bellhousing, but I'd just get the right clutch hardware from ARP or GM.

yes, the flywheel bolts in particular usually have thinner heads to clear the clutch. normal hex bolt head and washers will probably hit.

I use grade 8 for everything, really no reason for grade 5, unless its a part that needs to shear before something more important breaks. The price is not much different
